A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a person who has met the
requirements of California state law and has been issued a license
to practice public accounting by the California Board of
Accountancy. CPA candidates must fulfill designated educational and
experience requirements and pass an examination in order to use the
title of Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
